Course intention

This 35 hours or 18 sessions course is designed to introduce dedicated yogis and yoga teachers to the classical yogic Kriya (cleansing), Pranayama (breathwork) and Meditation (Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana).
The course consists of 3 parts and you can either enroll for each part separately or the whole, benefiting from 30% discount.

Course summary

Part 1

  • Purposes, philosophy and  techniques of Pranayama and Yogic Meditation.
  • When to practise and how to progress safely and independently.
  • What are the counterindications, benefits, and obstacles.
  • How to integrate the practices into your daily life to find more peace, health, wellbeing and deeper connection with your inner self.
  • Techniques such as Kapalabhati Kriya, Stage waves, Complete yogic breathing, Diaphragmatic breathing, Anuloma and Viloma Ujjayi, Vasishta’s Nadi Shuddhi, Aurobindo’s, HamSah, Sphere of light Meditations along with yogic mudras, bandhas, and mantras.

Part 2

  • Background, purposes, and definitions of Kriya, Pranayama and Yogic Meditation.
  • Continuation of the practices from part 1 of this course and integrating them into your daily life and your teaching. Learning and integrating new practices.
  • Benefits, counterindications, and obstacles of all practices we explore.
  • Techniques: 
    • Kriya: Bahya Kumbaka Uddiyana, Agnisara, Madhyama, Vama & Dakshina, Nauli.  Jala Neti Kriya and continuing Kapalabhati.
    • Pranayama:  Nadi Shuddhi –  integrating last element, Divine image, and working with different ratios. Surya Bhedana and  Chandra Bhedana – balancing practices for our brain hemispheres and our nervous systems, preparing for more powerful Nadi Shoddhana.
    • Meditation: Chakra Kundalini meditation along with yogic mudras, bandhas, and mantras. Comprehensive psycho-energetic analyses of the chakras for deeper amalgamation of this meditation into your psyche.

Part 3

  • Ashrama and integration of this concept into your daily sadhana.
  • Dharma, Svadharma – life’s divine purpose and practices to embody it in your life.
  • Gunas – theory and practices towards spiritual involution.
  • Mudras – essence, philosophy, and practical exercises.
  • Prana and prana vayus – concepts, their functioning within our subtle body & practices.
  • Kumbhaka – definitions, purpose, types, and technique.
  • Progressing with previously learnt practices:
    • Pranayama: Nauli and Kapalabhati Kriya; Nadi shuddhi, Stage wave breathing, their bandhas, mudras, mantras, and more advanced  ratios.
    • Meditation: Kundalini Chakra meditation, Trataka, and Sacred objects meditation.
  • Exploring new techniques:
    • Pranayama: Ujjayi Pranayama of Kayvalyadama, Brahma mudra, Bhramari mudra, Shan-Mukhi mudra, Pratilom Ujjayi, Simha mudra, Sitali, Sitkari, and Kumbhakas.
    • Meditation: Krishna meditation, Svadharma, Bhairava tantra, Six-stage double up waves.
